Ekkerøy Lodge spans 90 square meters of modern Nordic architecture, crafted from sustainably sourced pine from northern Finland. Its striking panoramic windows open up to the breathtaking Varanger Fjord, immersing you in nature while you stay warm by the cozy fireplace.
Thoughtfully designed with unique details, Ekkerøy Lodge is perfect for both holiday retreats and creative work sessions. The living area features a spacious dining and meeting table, a comfortable lounge, and an open-concept kitchen. A large screen and sound system make the space ideal for presentations or movie nights.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a delightful feast, and we can stock the fridge with fresh local ingredients upon request.
When night falls, retreat to one of three serene bedrooms, each furnished with luxurious Hästens double beds and premium linens.
Nothing compares to the warmth of a wood-fired sauna after a refreshing dip in the Arctic Ocean, just 60 meters away. The lodge also boasts a stylish, tiled bathroom with a rainfall shower, as well as a separate laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
Built by the renowned timber house manufacturer Kontio, the lodge is constructed from sustainably harvested, slow-grown Arctic pine. This PEFC-certified timber ensures responsible forestry and, thanks to its long growth cycle, contains a high proportion of heartwood—making it exceptionally strong, durable, and naturally antibacterial.
